Total Research Group (TRG) is a fairly new and innovative research facility in South Florida. However, its owner, Lillian A. Ser, Esq., and its Medical Director, Dr. Juan “John” A. Fernandez, are not new to clinical research.
Lillian has been a licensed attorney for close to 25 years and is armed with an M.B.A. and years of experience owning her own law practice. For the last 7 years, Lillian has been representing clinical research sites in the negotiation of CTAs, ICFs and other related clinical research contracts with Sponsors and CROs. As such, she ensures a quick turnaround in CTAs/ICFs (no more than 48 hours) and is the direct contact and decision maker for budget negotiations.
Dr. John Fernandez, TRG’s Medical Director and Principal Investigator for all Nephrology/Renal-related and Internal Medicine Studies, has been participating in research since his early days as a Fellow at the University of Miami. Dr. Fernandez, a Board-Certified Nephrologist, has a robust nephrology practice, which serves an active patient population of over 3,500 patients with Stage 2 through 5 Kidney Disease. In addition, Dr. Fernandez serves as Medical Director for two large Dialysis Centers. Including these two facilities and several other serviced by the practice, Dr. Fernandez’ dialysis census totals close to 300 patients. Dr. Fernandez also serves in leadership positions at several local hospitals and long-term care facilities.
TRG’s Site Director, Kendaling Bruce, has a Masters in Health Administration working in the medical field since 2004 in many specialties with management/administration and organizational experience, ensuring that the logistics and detail required to run an efficient and quality research site are in place.
